Meditating
Charles finds it hard to meditate at the Facility, part of this is due to how all the agents think. They remind him of students, but mainly its due to Erik.
That's why he's found a nice spot near the lake and is sitting on a rock and meditating. The inside of his head is quieter as he focuses on the here and now.
He has a thermos of tea and a packed lunch from Bar for when he's ready to take a break.
