Somehow after the discussion with Erik, Charles managed to sleep though his dreams were complicated and vivid as he thought of Erik's touch.

He woke early and went to make himself a strong cup of coffee in the kitchen, his hair wet from the shower and his shirt not fully buttoned.

The past few days have been so full, he wonders what's to come next.

Erik cannot help his devious smile as he raises a brow. "I excite you?" he murmurs. "How so? I'm not as smart as you Charles, you're going to need to explain some things to me, at times."

That gets an eyebrow, Charles considers Erik his equal,

"I'll accept flattery but not at the cost of making yourself sound foolish which isn't true. Yes, you excite me, because I can't predict you. I pride myself on knowing how to read people and you surprise me."

"I want to know the ways in which I titillate you," Erik says, quite plainly, because he genuinely wants to know. "You must understand. Look into my mind, Charles. Understand that I do not quite understand the ways of this."

"Well, then say that and don't talk about smarts. You're all edges and don't do anything halfway,"

He smirks before closing his eyes, and kissing Erik again before sharing how after the first time Erik put a hand in his hair, he wanted a passionate kiss and to let control go for a time. Mental and physical touch together excite, nothing hidden, all true, all real, being comfortable enough to let go.

Then in time learning and testing each other, he wants to hear Erik groan and want and know he can satisfy him. There's for a moment a memory that flashes through of a rainbow.

He opens his mouth to protest, but that fades away when Charles leans forward to kiss him, he finds that he is unable to do such a thing, a shiver in his spine. "Charles," he whispers, fondly and reverently. "You do things to me that you cannot understand."

"Then show me. I can feel what you feel if you open yourself up to me. We'll learn each other,"

He doesn't move from how close he is to Erik, the words close to a whisper as he holds Erik's head.

Erik closes his eyes, a heady sensation running through him and making him feel utterly lightheaded, like he might fly away. "Dear," he murmurs, fondly. "Charles, look as much as you like. Dive as deeply as you wish." He opens his mind up, showing him images of the things that he wishes to do to Charles, the positions he wishes to put him in.

There are quite a wonderful variety of them and Charles kisses Erik once more, keeping him on top of him.

I also meant to actually show me. I promise you if I'm uncomfortable or you are, we'll figure out how to improve things.

Erik regards Charles cautiously and he eases away. The earlier reservations remain and he does not know whether to go through with this. "You know, I heard the occasional murmur that you were quite the active man at Oxford. There is a great number of things that discomfort me, but they are not your fault."

"When did you hear about my time at Oxford? I know that, that's why whatever we do, we'll talk and figure things out. Also we don't have to do anything now, time is on our side,"

Talking around sex and intimacy is what Charles considers normal, he knows this isn't true for everyone. Though he finds that he wants to know how to make Erik happy and isn't certain of where to start.

"I believe it was a passing comment from Raven, I don't know that she made it seriously," Erik admits, but he had taken presumptions from it and now he lies here, unsure what Charles wants with him, even though he wants Charles right back. "If time is on our side, then I want you to begin by assuring me this is not some trick in order to gain my trust so you can perform experiments upon me."

"Ah, well, then depending on what she said, some parts of it might be true. I don't do tricks. If I truly wanted you to do something I could make you do it, but I don't like doing that. I want you, Erik, as an ally and in my bed and I don't say things I don't mean,"

As Erik is still close, he shifts to make certain Erik can see his eyes as all he says is the truth.

It's what Erik wants -- Charles, at his side. It's something that he truly wants with all of his heart and soul and he would do absolutely anything to ensure he can snare that. This close, Charles' eyes are luminescent and he cradles a broad hand around the nape of Charles' neck to pull him in and press slow kisses over his brows.

I've never had anyone who was mine. There was Magda, but I was broken, she was broken, it would never have worked.

I am. I want you, all of you.

Erik might consider himself broken but Charles doesn't. He's lived and is scarred from it but not in pieces and he leans into the kisses.

It's terrifying. It's utterly terrifying and he has the horror of wanting it at the same time as it makes him quite afraid. "Then, what would you have me do?" he asks, a tremble in his normally-strong voice.

The question gets a little laugh from Charles before he starts to kiss Erik's neck where his shirt isn't buttoned.

Stop thinking and act.

It is a frightening request of a man like Erik, who has spent the last twenty years thinking before he acts because he does not want to ruin the plan he has for Schmidt. Still, with Charles' kisses along his neck, he finds that he cannot find the will in him to think and not act, so he grabs Charles by the upper arm and spins him, rolls him, intending to act with his knees in a vice grip around Charles' hips.

Charles gasps as the movement is unexpected and almost painful.

Erik settles into the straddle, loosening the way his knees fall around Charles' hips as he slides his way down, close enough to steal many a kiss from him, teasing and pushing light nudges of his nose against Charles' temples. "I like it when you make those sounds."

"I like making them,"

He doesn't know where the next kiss will be and groans at the combination of being straddled and gentle kisses.

Well, if ever there were incentive to continue what he's doing, that may be it, precisely. Erik grabs at Charles' chin to hold him still (though not too firmly) so that he can press a blisteringly desperate kiss to his lips, nipping at his lower lip and trying to take and take whatever he can.

The kiss is what he's been hoping for and Charles groans as he clutches at Erik, his desire slipping through his shields.

It's like a tidal wave cresting over him, making him feel utterly at unrest, overpowered. He breathes in and out raggedly, kissing Charles harder and a wanton noise escapes him, something he would not let out otherwise, given his strict control of himself.

Sorry.

He tries to correct his shields but he wants more of those sounds from Erik and manages to get his hand on Erik's waist. Not on skin yet as there's still shirt and undershirt but closer.

"You're not," Erik accuses, feeling like he's quite confident in that fact. He huffs mildly and shakes his head, breathing shakily as he shifts his body enough to slip Charles' fingers underneath his shirt. "This is hardly sleeping," he points out wryly.
